Psalm 130 begins with a cry: Help, God! The bottom has fallen out of my life! Many of my problems I know I bring on myself. I’m so glad that this psalmist is accurate, however, when he says that If you, God, kept records on wrong doings, who would stand a chance? Of course no one! Not me, for sure! It goes on: Forgiveness is your habit, and that’s why you’re worshipped. I’m completely dependent on God’s grace in every aspect of my life. My life’s on the line before God, my Lord. There’s nothing I can do in times of hardship and trouble but wait and trust. Wait and watch for God – with God’s arrival comes love. With God’s arrival comes generous redemption. I love the way the message concludes: No doubt about it!
He’s coming with love, forgiveness, strength, confidence, help in every trial. Even when the bottom falls out of our lives, He will come. DO DOUBT ABOUT IT! Lord help me today to learn what it means not to take things in my own hands, but to wait on You and theĀ Word.
have a great day…
