This psalm is too full of great stuff… I can’t cover it all. “The Message” says so many wonderful things, I’m just going to throw “stream of consciousness” at you for this psalm. You know it’s all about the Bible.  These are things I have learned about the bible so far:

1. The Bible will keep you from making serious mistakes in life. Oh, that my steps might be steady, keeping to the course you set; Then I’d never have any regrets….

2. The Bible is God’s way of talking to us in a personal way. I thank you for speaking straight from your heart…

3. The Bible is God’s teaching on how to live a good life. How can a young person live a clean life? By carefully reading the map of your Word.

4. The Bible is God’s way of helping us make decisions. don’t let me miss the road signs you’ve posted…. They show me the way.

5. Memorizing the Bible will keep you from sinning & reaping the consequences. I’ve banked your promises in the vault of my heart so I won’t sin myself bankrupt.

6. The Bible is God’s instruction manual for life. Train me in your ways of wise living. I’ll transfer to my lips all the counsel that comes from your mouth.

7. The Bible is the most fun in the world. Did you know this? Listen to what the writer says; I delight far more in what you tell me about living than in gathering a pile of riches.

8. The Bible is more important than anything else: I ponder every morsel of wisdom from you, I attentively watch how you’ve done it. I relish everything you’ve told me of life, I won’t forget a word of it.

9. The Bible will eliminate confusion in our lives, especially when we lose our way. Not for a minute will I take my eyes off your road….I’m a stranger in these parts; give me clear directions…”

10. The Bible is food. Jesus said: man cannot live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from God (Matthew 4:4). This psalmist writes: My soul is starved and hungry, ravenous!—insatiable for your nourishing commands.
