Here is a great serving from God’s banquet feast in His Word. It’s from the Psalms and is written by someone who found himself surrounded by enemies. He didn’t know how he was going to get out of that mess. Wow, don’t you feel like that sometimes?

This is what the Psalm says they did: “Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven.” (Psalm 107:28-30) New International Version.

Commenting on this verse, one writer says, “God’s power is a match for any crisis.”

Lord, help me to feast on this wonderful promise from your word. Nourish me and strengthen me for whatever trouble comes my way today.
