Traveling down life highway we see many detours that will take us out of the way and detour our arrival at Wisdom mansion. Proverbs explains our destination and provides a road map showing which roads to take and which roads to avoid. In the chapters for today we read: Vengeance detour will take you far out of your way. Instead, “when you see your enemy hungry, go buy him lunch; if he’s thirsty, bring him a drink…. And God will look after you.”(The Message) Peer-Pressure Parkway is a mess! “A good person who gives in to a bad person is a muddied spring, a polluted well.”(The Message)
Commend-me Circle, just goes around and around. “Too much honey is bad for you, and so is trying to win too much praise.”(Good News Bible) Psychic Service Drives and Superstition Short cuts are always “Wrong Way” ramps. Stay off of them! “You have as little to fear from an undeserved curse as from the dart of a wren or the swoop of a swallow.”(The Message) Someone greater than any of these is on your side! He has given you a road map! Stick too it!
