In Numbers chapter 6 God pronounces a benediction on His people. He blesses them! We need the same blessings: To be cared for by the Lord who watches over us; to have the smile of His face upon us and the riches of his grace given to us; to have him pay attention to us when we call; and, as the result of these thing, to enjoy his peace in our hearts.
Peace (Shalom) is one of the great words in the Hebrew language. It means more than absence of strife and stress. It involves quietness of heart, spiritual health and well being, spiritual prosperity, adequacy for all the demands of life. It’s the kind of spiritual well being that rises above our circumstances.
